Beetroot sits down with Paulo dos Santos, the Marketing and Sales Director at Jpik South Africa. Since the launch of Jpik in South Africa in 2014, Paulo has been working hard to change the face of education in South Africa. Through Jpik, Paulo promotes e-learning and has repeatedly demonstrated that an overall e-learning solution is what the education system in South Africa needs. We had a chat with Paulo about his job, and this is what he had to say:
What do you want out of this experience as the Sales and Marketing Director for Jpik?
“To establish Jpik as a household name in South Africa, and support education through establishing pedagogy as the art of teaching.”
How can you make the company better?
“The company is embarking on a number of different expansion projects. We are currently involved in skills transfer with local South Africans in the education industry.”
We are also working on establishing Jpik as a world class service company to service the SADC region.”
Which three adjectives describes your strengths?
“Determination, Results-oriented and Enthusiastic”
What do you want on your resume in two years?
“That we successfully established an ICT solution for South Africa and improved learner results.”
What drives you to keep going even when things are tough?
“I hate failure, and because of this, I try by all means to get things going to avoid failing.”
