TO HEAL THE PHYSICAL SELF MEANS RECONNECTING WITH THE INNER BEING…learn to listen to the body
Sickness and disease are a fatal and inevitable reality considering the socio-environmental climate that we live in today as people. We have neglected our true connection with nature in a range of ways including the negligence of the body and general self-care, however, there is always light and salvation in the midst of darkness. That hope is inspired by the possibility of healing.
To heal means to undergo a process in which you recover and become healthy again. Often times, we understand this process from a medical perspective that involves the intake of pharmaceutical medication. Healing, however, is not limited to the use of scientific, medical, and pharmaceutical practices as healing can also be aided in various ways including through reflexology, kinesiology, and through spiritual healing practices because “sometimes it is not the body that is sick, it may be the spirit,” says Fadwa Booley, founder of Mobile Therapies, a practicing reflexologist, and kinesiologist.
Mobile Therapies is an organization that serves to heal people through kinesiology and reflexology approaches. The term “mobile” implies that they can travel to you wherever you are, to be at your service. Mobile Therapies hosts workshops worldwide to educate people about their bodies, their subconscious self (the soul), and ways in which they can connect with their bodies to heal it. Fadwa has hosted a series of workshops where lessons relating to learning about connecting with the being as a whole, are offered.
In relation, reflexology is a type of healing method that involves massaging the body and applying different amounts of pressure on various points of the body to encourage healing and relief. It is based on the theory that some body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems and in relation, reflexologists believe that applying pressure on certain parts can offer some health benefits. For example, “when one has a headache, massaging the top part of the big toe can result in the headache being relieved,” explained Fadwa. Reflexology has many health benefits, some include the improvement of the immune system, the boosting of fertility, and it can reduce stress and anxiety etc.
Kinesiology in relation, involves the study of body movements or muscle testing to identify energy imbalances within the body. This approach relies on the fundamental understanding of the knowledge that we are more than just skin and bone, we are spiritual beings that are influenced by energy
