How did you start your own business?
I used to go to clubs in the early 2000 while studying at the College of Cape Town and the club scene those days was happening and it was the best night life time and that’s what captured me to the events industry and the love started there. Passion was what drove me to events/entertainment sector. I started organizing birthdays, weddings, graduations and other smaller events. I then started networking with the big players who were putting amazing and big events at the time like the guys at ESP Afrika (Cape Town International Jazz Festival) C Suns Promotions (Homecoming Music Festival and The Night of the Legends) JCQ Productions (Cape Town Jazzathon Festival) Big Concerts (46664 Mandela Concert) and have been able along the years to work with great musicians like Stimela, Malaika, Mafikizolo and so much more…

What do you like about being an entrepreneur?
I love being the boss, with no time zones to be at work at certain times because I determine how, where and what time should I be at work. I also give young people job opportunities which enables them to support themselves and their families it is the greatest thing any person could ever ask for. When you step up to be a leader to your fellow generation, by taking the first step to success and that will inspire others to do the same thing.
As an entrepreneur, what are the challenges you are facing trying to build a reputable brand?
1. Funding and support either from government, corporate or local structures.
2. There is lack of creativity and originality amongst the young entrepreneurs.
3. Lack of mentors who can encourage us and give support to the township entrepreneurs, when blacks make it and they leave the township to live in the suburbs, leaving with the skills and the knowledge to empower next generation/
How do you evaluate success?
On how many people I have pulled up the ladder with me
What’s your favorite quote?
